Guided by clinical needs, focusing on cutting-edge fields such as cells and genes, medical-engineering integration, longevity medicine, and brain-like, and relying on the foundation of the School of Pharmacy, School of Life and Health, School of Synthetic Biology, and School of Biomedical Engineering of Shenzhen University of Technology, the Center for Future Medicine is committed to taking the lead in closely integrating future medical technology with clinical and translational medicine, realizing clinical application and transformation in the Affiliated Hospital of Shenzhen University of Technology, and laying out the research, application scenarios and industrial development of human medicine in advance of the future. Cultivating research-oriented medical talents with both the spirit of a medical scientist and the ability of a clinician.
The Center for Future Medicine is led by 4 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, namely Gu Ying in the field of laser clinical medicine, Kang Le in the field of cell and genomics, Su Guohui in the field of neural regeneration, and Zhao Hongwei in the field of plasma accelerator therapy for tumors. At the unveiling ceremony, Gu Ying was appointed as the director of the Future Medical Center, and Xu Zhiming, a professor at the School of Pharmacy of Shenzhen University of Technology, was appointed as the executive director of the Future Medical Center.
