IT Home reported on 1/0 that OpenAI's image generation function launched last week quickly became popular, and its powerful capabilities created huge demand.

However, the popularity of this feature has also put huge traffic pressure on OpenAI. On Monday, OpenAI announced that it had temporarily disabled video generation for new users of Sora. In a notice on its support page, the company said: "We are currently experiencing high traffic pressure and have temporarily disabled Sora video generation for new accounts. If you've never logged in to Sora before, you can still use Sora for image generation. ”

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman posted on the X platform last weekend that the company has struggled to keep up with demand since the feature was launched, with employees having to work overtime, even on weekends, to keep the service up and running.
