At present, the main structure of the cut-and-cover section at the exit of the Xilong Tunnel has been perfectly completed, the shield cutterhead and supporting equipment have been put into the site for commissioning, and the shield construction is about to start.
As a key node of the project, the smooth progress of the Xilong Tunnel has laid a solid foundation for the completion of the whole line. In the future, with the start of shield construction, the project construction will enter a new stage of tackling key problems and contribute to the early opening of the Guangnan Liaison Line.

The new main line of the Guangnan Liaison Line is about 16 kilometers long, passing through Nanhai District of Foshan City, Liwan District and Panyu District of Guangzhou City, which is an important passage connecting Guangzhou Railway Station and Guangzhou South Railway Station.
After the completion of the project, it will further improve the interconnection between the main and passenger stations of the Guangzhou hub, enhance the flexibility of the hub and road network, and become a strong support for strengthening the engine positioning of the Guangzhou Bay Area and building a world-class transportation hub.
