4月8日，有网友发帖称，青年学俊、宁夏大学李海波教授凌晨去世。

4月9日，宁夏大学一名老师向九派新闻证实了李海波因突发疾病去世的消息，他表示：“我们后续应该不会有讣告和追悼会。”

According to the school's official website, Li Haibo was born in 1984 years and served as the deputy director and professor of the Testing and Analysis Center of Ningxia University.

2012年李海波从华东师范大学物理系毕业后，同年前往澳大利亚南澳大学从事博士后工作，2014-2015年在新加坡科技设计大学从事研究员工作，2016年成为宁夏“海外引才百人计划”入选者，并入选“2023年度全球前2%顶尖科学家榜单”。
