Chery Automobile recently held a grand press conference called "Hybrid Night", at which Chairman Yin Tongyue announced the company's future new energy strategy.

Yin Tongyue revealed that Chery will fully devote itself to the fields of new energy hybrid, extended range and pure electric this year, and strive to achieve diversified development in automotive powertrain. In addition to continuing to develop conventional gasoline engines with high thermal efficiency, Chery will also increase investment in electrification, focusing on the research and development of next-generation drive motors, battery systems, pack technology and battery management system (BMS), as well as green energy supply technology.

Chery has made remarkable achievements in the field of hybrid technology and has formed three core competitiveness. First of all, relying on its strong engine technology advantages, Chery has successfully developed a dedicated hybrid engine, a three-speed 11-speed DHT gearbox and Chery Kunpeng super hybrid CDM system, which not only stands out in the selection of China's new top ten hybrids and the world's top ten hybrids, but also demonstrates Chery's leading position in the field of engine technology. Chery not only requires excellence in engine technology, but also strives to achieve the highest level in drive motor, BMS and pack technology.

Secondly, Chery has redefined the industry standard by taking safety as the bottom line of hybrid technology. In view of the potential safety hazards of hybrid vehicles that may stall due to power loss when driving at high speeds, Chery has conducted a large number of verification and safety tests. On the highway with no speed limit in Germany, Chery's test vehicle remained stable and did not stall even if it drove continuously at the ultra-high speed of 180km/h, even if it lost power.

Finally, Chery also actively recruits global partners to jointly build an open source ecosystem. Chery has set up eight R&D centers around the world, and announced an open source plan at the press conference, aiming to collaborate with outstanding partners around the world to innovate and jointly promote the development of hybrid technology. Chery has also carried out a series of R&D layouts of green technologies around the world, including hydrogen fuel cells, E-Fuel synthetic fuels, photovoltaic energy storage and other fields.

Yin Tongyue said that Chery will not set any restrictions and ceilings on hybrid and new energy technologies. He believes that super hybrid technology will become a common new growth point in different markets around the world, injecting strong impetus into the future development of Chery Automobile.
