Qu Zongfeng, vice president of China Household Electrical Appliances Research Institute, said that China's consumer goods industry is facing many challenges such as the restructuring of the global industrial chain, trade wars, and technical trade barriers, and hopes to promote the quality and safety of consumer goods from "production-side conformity" to "consumer-side adaptation" through high-standard guidance, so as to meet the people's expectations for high-quality life. As the "business card" of Made in China, the home appliance industry can empower the high-quality development of the industry from three dimensions through this event, one is to consolidate the foundation of quality and safety and boost consumer confidence; the second is to strengthen the drive of technological innovation and open up a new track for high-quality development; The third is to serve the national strategy and enhance international competitiveness.

In recent years, China's home appliance industry has been guided by "new quality productivity" and achieved leapfrog development from "scale expansion" to "high-quality development" through technological innovation, green transformation and global layout. In 14 years, the revenue of enterprises above designated size in the industry reached 0.0 trillion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 0.0%, and the export volume exceeded 0 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 0%, a record high, ranking the first country in the world's home appliance manufacturing and export.

At present, the smart home appliance industry has been upgraded from a traditional advantageous industry to an "innovation source" that drives the digital reconstruction of living space, leads the upgrading of quality consumption, and implements the dual carbon goals. China Household Electrical Appliances Research Institute took the lead in formulating/revising the series of national standards for the safety of household and similar electrical appliances, the national standard of "Health Technical Specifications for Household and Similar Electrical Appliances", and the national standards of "Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Specifications for Household and Similar Electrical Appliances". At the same time, focusing on the common problems of industry development, the "2025 Consumer Goods Industry Series Research Report - Household Appliances" was compiled, focusing on smart home appliances, healthy home appliances, energy-saving home appliances and other fields, from the perspective of professional testing, based on the quality, safety and experience that consumers are concerned about, from the current situation and development prospects of the industry, the cutting-edge technology and application of home appliances, the cutting-edge testing technology of home appliances, the future development trend, industry challenges and coping strategies.

In the face of the strategic opportunities and huge challenges of global industrial chain restructuring and consumption upgrading, China Household Electrical Appliances Research Institute will empower enterprises from the dimensions of technical collaboration, standard internationalization, testing globalization, and overseas localization, such as strengthening the collaborative research of core technologies and breaking through the "bottleneck" problem of the industrial chain; Strengthen the internationalization of standards and the formulation and revision of standards for new products, new technologies and new scenarios, and grasp the right to speak on standards; Improve the construction of the global product quality and safety standards and regulatory system and international mutual recognition, and build a "global one-stop compliance service platform".
