Phil Jackson, a 13-time NBA champion, slammed the league's scheduling options

Ever since Phil Jackson ended his basketball career as Knicks president in 2017's, he has generally avoided being in the spotlight.

But just like Jesus, the legendary coach reappears on Easter Monday.

Jackson was critical of the league's schedule of games on religious holidays such as Easter and Christmas.

他在一年多来首次在“X”上向他的72.4万粉丝发布的帖子简短但切中要害。

This is just his third post on the social media site in seven years. Jackson was in good spirits and made a public statement on the issue on a website he rarely uses.

This religious stance should not come as a surprise to anyone familiar with the "Zen Master", but the post made by this usually more conservative person is noteworthy.

The NBA has long been known for its Christmas game day. The New York Knicks defeated the Providence Steam Engines in their first holiday game of 1974. Easter Monday usually falls right in the first round of the playoffs each year.

Perhaps the most interesting part is Jackson's public denunciation of the league, saying in 2023 that the NBA has become too politicized. The above post shows that basketball is still on his mind today.

Jackson is in charge of the NBA and will be a completely different league.
