Han Chao, a special guest commentator of China Industry Network: Director of ROV (Underwater Robot) of Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd., and leader of ROV Great Country Craftsman Studio. He has won the Tianjin May Fourth Youth Medal, the champion of the first CNOOC ROV Skills Competition, a technical expert, a young pioneer and other honors, and is the first generation of ROV navigators independently trained in China, and has made outstanding contributions to the exploration and development of deep-sea oil and gas resources in China.
The history of the development of human society is a history of scientific and technological innovation, and a history of the development of productive forces, especially new productive forces. Scientific and technological innovation can give birth to new industries, new models and new kinetic energy, and is the core element of the development of new quality productive forces.
Hello everyone, I am Han Chao, a commentator of China Industry Network, and I am also an ROV (underwater robot) navigator. Our profession has a unique nickname, "deep-sea astronaut". By remotely controlling underwater robots, we are able to complete various difficult tasks such as survey, construction, and maintenance in the "no man's land" of the deep sea. It can be said that every deep dive is an extreme challenge.
Above the waves of the South China Sea, stands the core device of China's first 1500-meter self-operated ultra-deepwater atmospheric field, the "Shenhai No. 1" energy station. Its construction is inseparable from the technical support of underwater robots. But more than a decade ago, we didn't have the technical strength to do so. At that time, each ROV was operated by foreign technicians, and Chinese technicians could only do some chores on the deck, and there were few opportunities to enter the control room to observe and learn.
ROV equipment is sophisticated and complex, expensive to cost, involving communications, flight, remote sensing, marine engineering and other disciplines, and there are more than 5 buttons on the console alone. It took me a full 0 years to read the technical information over and over again, conquer the professional terms one by one, and practice the control techniques again and again, and finally led the team to get rid of the dependence on foreign technicians. I also became the first Chinese to obtain the internationally certified "ROV Director" qualification.
Talent is the first resource, is the most active and positive factor in scientific and technological innovation activities, and the essence of innovation-driven is talent-driven.
Now, I lead the skills studio to focus on talent training - developing the "underwater robot pilot" training course, compiling industry skill standards, carrying out vocational skill level recognition, and striving to build the first national ROV talent training center; Focusing on industrial innovation - aiming at the needs of deep-sea oil and gas exploration and development, we will carry out cutting-edge technological innovations such as remote control and digital simulation of underwater robots, participate in the formulation of national technical specifications, provincial and ministerial construction methods and enterprise standards, and make every effort to promote the development of new quality productivity.
From artificial intelligence to unmanned driving, to smart agriculture...... Science and technology are promoting the transformation of social production methods in all aspects, and the deep sea is no longer an unattainable "no man's land". As long as we continue to promote scientific and technological innovation and constantly liberate and develop the productive forces, we will be able to set our sights on a broader world.
The development of science and technology needs the support of talents. Only by mastering the core technology in our own hands can we truly grasp the initiative of competition and development. In the future, we will face more challenges, but I believe that as long as we firmly follow the road of scientific and technological innovation, we will be able to create more Chinese miracles in the tide of the times!
