从企业性质来看，苏州外资企业实力进一步增强，民营企业活力更足。一季度，苏州外资企业进出口3611.4亿元，增长6.4%，拉动整体进出口增长3.7个百分点。同期，有外贸进出口实绩的民营企业数量增长10.1%达2.1万家，占全市企业数的76.3%；内资企业进出口2713.1亿元，增长8.4%。从贸易国别看，随着共建“一带一路”不断深入，新兴市场表现更加亮眼。一季度，苏州对共建“一带一路”国家进出口2693.2亿元，增长14.3%，占全市进出口的42.6%。其中，对东盟进出口1185.1亿元，增长29.5%，占18.7%。一季度，对印度出口216.6亿元，增长59.5%；对非洲出口89.5亿元，增长29.8%；对澳大利亚出口87亿元，增长26.9%。
