At the beginning of 2015, I wanted to get a driver's license, so I didn't hesitate to sign up.
My coach is a local, with a strong personality and a vigorous demeanor, and he is almost strict with his students. The driving school course has a total of 330 lessons, which supports installment payment, and after a few lessons, the corresponding tuition fee will be paid. This flexible payment method is undoubtedly much more convenient for students who are not completely sure of whether they can pass the exam and do not want to pay the tuition fee at one time.
On the day I officially got in the car, I was wearing a pair of pearl white heeled sandals. When applying the brakes, the soles of the feet slip violently. Seeing this, the coach solemnly reminded us that we must not wear high heels to practice in the future.
During that time, I happened to be at home, so I would go to practice every day. One day, during the practice, several students took leave, and only me and a girl were left in the empty training field. In the huge training ground, one after another coach cars staggered by. The students in the car poked their heads out from time to time, and when their eyes met, they all smiled, as if they were cheering each other on: "Everyone is still in the groping stage, no one should laugh at anyone, come on together!" "On both sides of the road, the grass is green, and the wind is rustling. It was August, the sun was scorching, and the willow leaves were so thirsty that they rolled up, and the whole air seemed to be a glass house, steaming us to the air. Although it was hot, it couldn't stop our passion for learning.
I passed the second exam in one attempt. When I came back, I started to practice subject 3. The first time I drove on the road, I was so nervous that I didn't dare to breathe, I was afraid that I would miss a certain movement in one breath, or use the accelerator as a brake. I remember that it was my turn to practice subject three, driving on Chengbei West Road where cars were coming and going, looking at the vehicles shuttling around, my palms were sweaty, and my back was cold. But the coach sat in the passenger seat, did not understand my nervousness at all, and urged with hatred: "Step on the accelerator!" Dare to step on it! "At that time, the car had been hung into fifth gear, and the cars and railings on the side of the road were speeding by, and my eyes were like copper bells, staring at the front, and I didn't dare to get out. I couldn't help but retort: "I can't accelerate anymore, the car is too fast!" The coach raised his voice: "If I ask you to speed up, you will speed up!" If you can't even raise the speed, you might as well ride an electric car! You have to be bold and careful when driving, and now that the road conditions are so good, hurry up and step on the accelerator! Hearing this, I gritted my teeth and slowly stepped on the accelerator, and the speed of the car gradually stabilized, and the tension dissipated.
Thanks to that experience, I didn't make the usual low-level mistakes that novices make, such as hitting the accelerator when stepping on the brakes, hitting a curb stone when pulling over, or forgetting to turn signal. This has to do with my cautious personality and the careful guidance of my coach.
Once, we went to practice in a sparsely populated suburb. At that time, there were three lanes in the same direction, and the coach suddenly ordered: "Change lanes and go straight." "Our car was in the right-turn lane, so I quickly turned my turn signal and drove into the middle lane on the left. But I don't know what's going on, in a panic, I changed lanes diagonally several times in a row, and "drew dragons" between several lanes.
As I pondered what was right and wrong, the coach slammed on the brakes and said, "Shut down!"
For a moment, my head went blank, and when I looked up, I froze: the front of the car was facing another car from our driving school. I saw two coaches get out of the car and stand on the side of the road, looking helpless, and finally couldn't help laughing. The students in the opposite car also leaned back and smiled backwards, and some of them covered their mouths and pointed.
That's when I realized that I had driven the car into the opposite lane. Fortunately, the incident happened suddenly, and I instantly stepped on the brakes, and the car from the driving school happened to be driving on the opposite side, and there were no other passing cars around, otherwise a collision accident was inevitable.
Afterwards, the coach solemnly pointed out: "The biggest problem when you drive is that you only stare at the front of the car and don't look ahead at all." As a result, it is extremely dangerous to not pay attention to the traffic lights and to predict the road conditions in advance. "Come to think of it, it is. When I drive, I always unconsciously keep an eye on the front of the car, and my eyes frequently sweep to the lines on both sides of the road, for fear that the car will not be able to go in a straight line, or press the lane line. Now that I think about it, this is probably obsessive-compulsive disorder.
After this lesson, during the follow-up practice, I worked hard to get rid of the problem of staring at the front of the car and panicking, and the driving gradually became stable. The coach also quipped: "I knew that the effect was so good, I should have let you go out of the 'country' a few more times." ”
Subject 2 exam, all our students passed. But in subject 3, another student and I unfortunately failed the course, and the instructor lost thousands of yuan in bonuses - the driving school stipulates that the instructor will only be given a bonus if all the students pass the test.
A month later, under the arrangement of the driving school, I took the subject 3 test again. This time everything went smoothly and it was successfully passed. But the student who failed the course with me was not so lucky, due to his busy work, he had no time to practice, and he was not careful enough to study, so he ran a red light during the make-up exam and could only continue to make up the exam. He was bent on getting his driver's license as soon as possible, but it always backfired.
I have always kept in mind the words of the coach: "Be bold and careful when driving, and don't change lanes easily." Don't get into the turning radius of a large truck, don't drive side by side with a large truck, either follow it or find the right time to overtake it...... these valuable experiences have helped me quickly master driving skills. Today, I'm more proficient at driving. I am sincerely grateful for my decision and am glad to have met such responsible coaches and like-minded students. Youth is the greatest capital, youth is fleeting, what you want to do, you must do it as soon as possible.
